Following a National Diploma in Music Technology Will joined The Jungle Group in 2006. He works across all three facilities and can often be found out in the ‘field’ with the portable recording equipment.

What drew you into sound?
Helping out mates’ bands, DJ nights, that sort of thing. When I started bootlegging Oasis concerts I knew I was heading in the sound direction!
Do you work with sound outside The Jungle Group?
Live and studio engineering for a couple of bands. I’m also part of the stage crew at a Dorset festival.
What’s different about transfer these days as opposed to when you started?
More digital files and less physical stock. Wavs have replaced DATs.
What advancement has had the biggest impact on your job?
12 studios across 2 streets with 3 facilities linked by fibre optics with central servers handling everything from sfx to digital backups.
